RE HOUSE

Architectural project

Project description

In this project, our task was to partially reconstruct an existing house and change the design of the facades. The customer wanted to preserve the existing layout, improving and adding to it several important areas: a bathhouse, a utility block, and a carport.

We have completely rethought the entry group, giving it all the missing functions. So, we have a levitating canopy for two cars, which has a round hole for a growing tree. This tree will create an unusual play of light and shadow during the day, and will be beautifully illuminated at night. The tree also serves as a visual divider, since behind it is the entrance to the house. To the right of the tree is the entrance to the utility block and bathhouse.

It was also important for the client to reduce the amount of sunlight entering the interior space, but at the same time maintain large panoramic windows. We solved this with the help of a canopy protruding 2 meters, which will prevent the penetration of direct sunlight and overheating of the space.
