CLIFF HOUSE

Architectural project

Project Description

For this project, our goal was to combine two seemingly contrasting concepts: the strong, closed-off aesthetic of a "Batman's house" with the warmth and comfort of a home for a married couple. To achieve this, we started with a cubic mono-volume structure and subtly distorted it to create a more complex and intriguing design. The street-facing façade was intentionally designed to be solid and private, while large panoramic windows, a terrace, and a cantilevered extension were oriented toward the courtyard, creating a more open and inviting atmosphere.

The materials chosen for the faсade were carefully selected to evoke a sense of calm. Textured concrete plaster, metal, and fiber panels were used to harmonize with the surrounding environment, enhancing the interplay of light and shadow.

The interior layout was thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Bedrooms are positioned to face south, west, or east, ensuring ample natural light, while technical and auxiliary rooms face north. Each section of the home includes a private bathroom, which helps maintain a clear separation between the living spaces for permanent residents and the areas used by guests.
