The house is located on the first line of the Gulf of Finland and has a very laconic architecture with a lot of glazing, so we wanted to make the interior a continuation of the architecture and part of the natural environment. Therefore, the interior has wooden elements that resemble tree trunks in color and clean "ringing" textures: onyx is like a frozen bay, and glass resembles a transparent water surface.
In order to achieve a beautiful play of light and shadows and emphasize the difference in textures, we paid attention to lighting, providing lighting in several levels of interaction. And to add warmth and comfort to the "cold" interior, we placed 2 fireplaces in the project: in the common space and in the master bedroom, creating harmony of different natural elements.
